１１月２４日、２５日、湘南の作家さんたち主催の陶器市に参加させてもらうことになりました。
名前は陶器市ですが、ガラス作家さんたちも参加されます。お子様も楽しめるワークショップもあります。
私はクリスマスっぽいものを中心に持っていく予定です。
また年度末ということで、セカンドクオリティのものもお安く販売します。

”Abuku” in Japanese translates to sea bubbles in English. When you put this bowl under the light you can see the light is coming through the hole on the clay body which is filled up with colorful glaze.
The effect of small bubbles is created by a traditional ceramic techinique called ”Rice Porcelain/ Hotarude”.
By creating it through color and simple shapes, it reveals a new aspect to this technique.
abuku はデンマークの避暑地であるボーンホルム島に住んでいたとき、美しく煌めきつつも、北欧特有 の透き通った静けさを感じさせる夏のバルト海にインスピレーションを受け作ったものが始まりで、それ以来形を変えつつ作り続けているものです。
ランダムに蛍手を配置し乾かす際にできる自然なうねりをあえて出すことで、海のさざなみやあぶくを表現しています。

蛍が飛んでいる様であることから名付けられた蛍手という名前の陶芸の技法を使って制作した磁器の風鈴です。
風鈴の涼しげな音とともに夏の日差しにきらめく涼やかなカラーが目も楽しませてくれます。
またこちらの風鈴は紐を外して逆さにしていただくと、ティーライトがジャストフィットするキャンドルホルダーとしても使用できます。
季節の品として、オフシーズンは仕舞い込んでしまうのではなく、年中楽しめるデザインを目指しました。
I am a having solo event at Yokohama Takashimaya (department store) from 8th to 14th August.
横浜髙島屋さんにて８月８日ー１４日まで展示販売いたします。一人で広いスペースを使わせていただくので、蛍手の新作やアートワークなど普段は出していないものも並びます。作家本人が対面販売いたしますので、ぜひ横浜駅にお越しの際はお立ち寄りください。

The crystal-ish part is made of one of the mineral.
It is beautiful as an art piece itself and perfect for shop/ market display.
There is small spaces between crystals and it is possible to stand rings or flowers with water.
磁器のお皿の中に結晶が詰まったアートオブジェの様なディスプレイプレートです。
珊瑚の様な部分はある鉱石の粉で、釉薬の様に完全に溶けてガラスの様になる前の状態を閉じ込めました。
お店の什器や、マーケットでのディスプレイ、オブジェとしてそのままでも楽しんでいただけると思います。
結晶の間に隙間が出来るので、とても小さいものだと間に入り込んでしまいますが、その隙間を利用してリングを立てかけたり、お花を活けたりなんて使い方も可能です。
